Water Drips

It was a warm winter day with spring approaching.  Watching the snow melt gave me the inspiration to snap this shot.

Old Barn

As I was walking around my parents land I noticed the neighbors barn had collapsed.  I asked if it was alright if I used it as a subject for a photo and here is the outcome.

Portrait #2

As I was experimenting with the lighting equipment, I decided to kill all but one and this was the outcome.  Although a little dark, I thought it represented loop lighting pretty well.

Self Portrait

I thought using the corner of a room would give some contrast with one wall being a little more shaded than the other and give me some seperation from the wall.

Shells on a Rail at Dusk

While I was attending a wedding at the beach I visited some family.  These were a few shells that were found that day and were sitting on the rail.  I placed one on top of the other to show some seperation from the shell and the rail.  The only thing I wish I had was more light.  I didn't have my light kit with me but I was still happy with the outcome.

Shells

While walking on the beach after a rain storm had passed through and the beach was nearly empty, I decided to get a few shots in while I could.  The sunset started showing through and with the litter of shells for as far as the eye could see, I snapped this shot by placing the camera on my feet to get low to the surface.

Under the Pier

While walking the beach still, I saw a dog roaming under the pier.  At first I tried to capture the dog playing near the waves but didn't like the results so I decided to capture a deep dof using the peir legs.

Wet Petals

I wanted to capture a shallow dof shot and saw these flowers when going back inside before more rain came in.  I was trying to put more focus on the water droplets than on the flower itself.

Spring Breakfast

The days that I was free to shoot the weather did not want to cooperate so I used indoor shots and waiting for one good exterior shot.  It wasn't until the final day of shooting that the weather cracked and i got my exterior shot.  For the indoor shots I shot them in sequence to keep the flow moving forward and to keep addtional props in the same positions.
